Sonoma county

We spent the first half of this week with our American friends, that we met when they were living in Australia. Had a great time being shown the sights of Sonoma County (California’s ‘other’ wine county).

   Locals!

The other side of the Pacific.

This huge crow posed on the cliff and let us get up really close (ironically this is in Bodega Bay, it’s claim to fame is being the filming location of Hitchcock’s “The Birds”)

A church in the town of Occidental, a beautiful railroad town surrounded by hills and trees all the way around.

  Another Occidental church

  Occidental waffle

  Settlers of the bay area

‘The Bear’ poses with some bear statues. There are similar statues scattered all over Sebastopol and they are all themed like this.    Solar panels on the Main Street, used to light Sebastopol at night.
